Yes, it’s Giving Tuesday, the one day of the year when the non-profit world grabs the mic and asks folks to give. This year we are motivated to ask, “What else can we do – besides give? What can we DO?”
Join WRJI facilitators and volunteers for a facilitated conversation about taking critical anti-racism action – together. We look to engage each other in discussion about how each of us can generate or join collective action to combat white supremacy. We will ground the conversation in principles of positive allyship, and lessons from its pitfalls. Then we will explore together how PGM folks and white allies can act together to protect the most vulnerable, to shine light in the darkness, and to move the arc towards justice even when it seems to be moving in the opposite direction.
We will each leave the discussion with one thing we commit to doing – however small or expansive – inspired by collective will. This is a time for mutual support, personal responsibility, and collective action. Let’s dive in.
